What to compare before you buy
- Coverage: partial loss, total loss from damage or theft, third-party liability, accidental death and medical expenses for occupants.
- Deductible: how much you pay on each claim. A low deductible raises the premium; a high one lowers it.
- Insured value: it should match the vehicle's actual market value, no more (you overpay) and no less (underinsurance).
- Assistance: towing, replacement car, locksmith, legal assistance and nationwide coverage.
- Repair shop network, and whether you can choose a dealership shop.
- Exclusions: driver without a valid license, alcohol, undeclared commercial use, racing, etc.
- Claims response time: how long the inspection takes, and the payment or repair order.
What matters most to the customer experience: claims speed
The premium is the first thing people look at, but what policyholders remember is how long it took to get help after a crash. And that time depends largely on the adjuster's report: interviews, photos, sketch, values and conclusion.
For insurers: with Peritovia the adjuster records interviews at the scene, the transcription flows automatically into each section and the signed report is issued the same day. Shorter cycle times, a better customer experience and verifiable evidence against fraud. Request a 90-day pilot.
Don't forget SPPAT
In addition to your private policy, Ecuador has SPPAT, which covers traffic accident victims (medical care, disability or death) regardless of fault. Your private insurance complements that protection and covers property damage.
Do you work at an insurer or as an appraiser?
Peritovia records interviews at the scene, transcribes them automatically and delivers the signed report the same day.
